OUR CLASSES

Our group fitness classes give you an opportunity to stay motivated and be surrounded by people with the same goals who can keep you accountable.

Fitness Classes are included in all memberships, and are $5 a class for non-members.

H

HIIT

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. HIIT is the concept where one performs a short burst of high-intensity (or max-intensity) exercise followed by a brief low-intensity activity, repeatedly, until too exhausted to continue. All fitness levels welcome!

Pound!

Channel your inner rock star with this full body cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat dripping fun of playing the drums. Using lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercise, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective eay of working out. All fitness levels welcome!

TB

Total Body

Every muscle group is targeted during this full body strength workout. Interval timing is the format used with the work periods and rest periods varying week to week. All fitness levels welcome!

SF

Senior Fit

This class is geared for the older population and will place at the Christina Leiber Center in Brookville’s Golden Gate Park. Class will consist of 20 minutes of aerobic exercise and 20 minutes of strength training followed by some stretching and stability work.

Z

Zumba®

Zumba® is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. Zumba® takes the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.  All fitness levels welcome!

SFF

Slow Flow Fusion

A great supplement to your workout routine. Slow Yoga and Thai Chi moves are joined together along with stretching and relaxation. Appropriate for all levels! Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned exerciser this is a great class to restore and rejuvenate the mind and body.

Please bring a yoga mat (mats are available if you don’t have your own).

SF

Step Fusion

An hour-long class starts with 20 minutes of step cardio that also includes endurance work. The last 40 minutes will fuse, flexibility and balance for a well-rounded work out. All fitness levels welcome!

AG

Abs & Glutes

Looking to firm up your rear end and lower body as well as strengthen that core?  This is the class or you!  A 40-minute class that will blast the areas for a quick calorie burn and strength endurance gains.  All fitness levels welcome!

SD

Self Defense

This class is a 4-week commitment, you MUST PRE-REGISTER AHEAD. 6-person limit per session. This class focuses on effectively performing punches, kicks and blocks as well as getting out of different holds and scenarios. Teenagers and up accepted.

T

Taekwondo

This class is a 4-week commitment, you MUST PRE-REGISTER AHEAD. 12-person limit per session. This class will focus on the martial arts style of Taekwondo.  Ages 4-104 accepted.

SS

Silver Sneakers

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance.

SB

Stretch & Balance

In this class the focus will be balance and stretching for flexibility as well as injury prevention. Stretches will be held for a lengthy time period of close to a minute to really stretch deep into the muscle to allow for gains to be made in flexibility.

FW

Foam Weapons

This workout will get your heart rate up as well as teach you how to defend yourself using various weapons such as bow staff and nunchucks.  Taught by our Taekwondo instructor who has multiple black belts.

BBS

BOSU Balance & Strength

Using a Bosu, you’ll work your core stregth by developing your balance skills while still incorporating all body groups. This class will focus on strength, balance, and developing you into a stronger person directly at the core. All fitness levels are welcome!

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Erika

Teaches: Silver Sneakers, HIIT, Total Body, Stretch & Balance, & Tabata Bootcamp, Bosu Balance & Strength


Erika is a nationally certified personal trainer and health coach as well as a fitness instructor. She has been in the fitness profession for the past 15 years and has a huge passion for helping others improve their health and lifestyles. She specializes in both able bodied, as well as those with special needs. If you are looking to lose weight, improve your level of fitness or simply want a better quality of life, she can help you.

 

Kelsey 

Teaches: Total Body, Abs & Glutes


Kelsey has always had a passion for physical fitness and empowering others with that same passion. She has been a dedicated gym goer for years, and loves teaching people how to perfect their fitness in and out of the classroom. Her infectious energy and passion for her classes is enough to motivate anyone to give her class their all. She focuese on growing muscle, and toning. 

Barb

Teaches: Slow Flow Fusion, Taekwondo, Foam Weapons Training


Barb has been an avid instructor and teacher for over 20 years. She wants to arm people with necessary life skills that can help with self defense, while also providing them with a great workout. She knows that a calm mind is an integral part of the fitness journey and focuses on teaching her students that in all of her classes, especially her Slow Flow Fusion.

Dani

Teaches: Zumba, Zumba Toning, Pound!, Step Fusion


Dani has been a licensed Zumba instructor since April 2015. She is also licensed in Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba and Strong in Zumba. Her love of Zumba took her to the Zumba Instructor Convention in 2016 and she will return in 2017. Along with teaching Zumba, she loves taking fitness classes that challenge her. Outside of the gym, Dani has been in education (from kindergarten through college) for almost 20 years.
